Overview:
The Cardenas Consulting Group is looking for a temporary staff member to join the team for the summer of 2024.
The temporary staff would join the team as a billing staff, working with client data to ensure that Medi-Cal Specialty Mental Health Services are billed in an accurate and timely fashion.
The position is a limited-term, paid, full-time, on-site position working in our office in Orinda, CA.
The selected individuals will be part of a team that works with nonprofit partners to document and process services delivered to Medi-Cal beneficiaries in Alameda County.
Prior experience in this work is not required, the selected applicant will receive all the training necessary for the job.
Duties:
- Enter service information into a central database.
- Track and report on projects and deliverables.
- Perform quality checks and identify issues that need correction.
- Work with team leaders to define solutions to new issues.
- Participate in team meetings and provide updates to team leaders.
- Complete training on social services in CA.
- Review client documents and provide analytical, summary, and/or comparative information.
- Other projects/responsibilities may be added in response to your interest and abilities.
Requirements:
- HS diploma with some some college
- Federal fingerprint clearance/background check
- A commitment to personal reliability and consistency
- Excellent attention to details
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong technical skills (MS office, Google G Suite, online services)
- Proven experience as a Medical Biller or in a similar role (preferred but not required
