What to expect

  • You will design the firmware for optical sensors with IO-Link interface from the initial idea through system design and development to series production
  • You will work closely with colleagues within the electronics development department and be part of interdisciplinary and international project teams
  • Through the further development of our IO-Link software platforms and tools, you will set standards for the cross-product development of our sensors
  • You will be the technical contact for IO-Link, function blocks, and device descriptions (IODD)
  • You will actively represent Leuze in technical working groups of the IO-Link consortium
  • You will be responsible for the support of series products and continuously work on their optimization in terms of performance, cost, and quality

What you bring

  • Degree in technical computer science, software engineering, electrical engineering, telecommunications engineering, or equivalent
  • Experience and confident handling of structured data processing and databases
  • Extensive knowledge of XML, XSLT, and XSD
  • Affinity for low-level programming with knowledge of C/C++
  • Desire to take on responsibility and actively implement ideas
  • Independent, goal-oriented, and structured work with a passion for collaboration with different development teams
  • Good English and German
