    Announcement Period: Open Until Filled

    Work Schedule: Mostly Evenings and Weekends

    Dept/Div: Multiple --- FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

    Overview

    Responsible for customer service, clerical and records support to assist Coweta citizens with County government transactions. Tasks involve providing information, guidance, and assistance to visitors and inquiries through various channels. Works under direct supervision.

    Qualifications

    To succeed in this role, one must be able to perform essential functions satisfactorily. Accommodations can be provided for individuals with disabilities.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Monitor and secure main entrance, greet visitors, and provide necessary information
    • Manage primary phone line, answer queries, and redirect calls
    • Oversee county website and other platforms for action alerts
    • Handle administrative tasks like data entry, recordkeeping, and correspondence
    • Stay updated on local news for relevant matters
    • Carry out assigned duties and maintain reliable attendance
    • Promote a culture of excellent service

    Skills and Abilities

    Requires in-depth knowledge of customer service principles, proficiency in communication, patience, and ability to multitask efficiently. Must be detail-oriented, adaptable, and familiar with County departments' functions.

    Education and Experience

    High school diploma or equivalent required. Basic office software and computer skills are a must.

    Physical Requirements

    This role entails occasional lifting, good hearing and communication skills, prolonged sitting and standing, and working in moderately noisy environments.

    Special Requirements

    Clean background check at local, state, and federal levels.

    Night or weekend shifts may be necessary as per departmental needs.
