The German Sport University Cologne, located in Curtisville, is a unique institution in Germany with a research spectrum and approximately 6,000 students.

It is highly regarded internationally and serves as the state university of North Rhine-Westphalia.

The university's IT infrastructure is operated by the central unit for information technology, which currently has two full-time positions available for a System Architect, Network Architect, or IT Security Specialist (f/m/d).

The regular working week for these positions is 39 hours and 50 minutes. One position is permanent, while the other is initially limited until .

As a System Architect, Network Architect, or IT Security Specialist (f/m/d), your main responsibilities will include contributing to the continuous development of the system landscape with a focus on IT security, implementing IT security measures specified by Compliance, ensuring prompt elimination of security gaps, configuring IT systems and applications according to best practice security standards, creating technical documentation, and collaborating closely with the information security department and officer.

You will also work closely with the BSI certification process.

To be considered for this position, you must have a successfully completed university degree in IT security/computer science or a completed apprenticeship in the IT sector with relevant professional experience.

Fluency in German and English is preferred. Additionally, practical experience in IT operations with a focus on IT security, knowledge and experience in planning and modernizing system architectures in compliance with BSI standards, and experience in implementing IT security measures
