Open Until FilledBecker Public Schools is looking for a AM/PM transportation paraprofessional to assist van and bus drivers in the safe transportation of students. This position will need to secure students of all ages in and out of type III and school bus vehicle restraints, including wheelchairs, while adhering to all laws for loading, transporting, and unloading students in a safe environment.
Job Duties:
- Ability to clearly communicate and follow directions with district employees, students and parents.
- Follow all school district policies as well as federal, state and local laws.
- Assist the driver with all student behavior management to create a safe environment for everyone.
- Being a team player with the transportation department, and district as a whole.
- This position will be directed by the transportation office staff and will assist drivers and other need for the school district.
Requirements:
- Experience with child restraints proper use
- Required to attend all transportation training when it comes to behavior management and child restraints.
- Transportation department will train the right candidate.
Schedule:
- This position will be 3.5 hours per day and times may vary based on the needs of Becker Public Schools.
- Current times are:
AM Shift: 6:30 - 8:10
PM Shift: 2:25 - Varies
