**LOCATION: SimonMed Headquarters
N Scottsdale Rd STE 600 Scottsdale, AZ 85254/ Remote**

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


  • Submit corrected claims and/or appeals to appropriate insurance.
  • Ensure claims are being sent to correct insurance and/or address.
  • Complete a high level on claims: a day.
  • Investigate claims for ensure they are processed correctly.
  • Follow up on claims to ensure payment received or if any other course of action is necessary.
  • Follow up with insurance if needed.
  • Call insurance companies when necessary to complete a claim/have over phone reprocessing of claim.
  • Refund patients and or insurance companies when appropriate by adding to refund log.
  • If working in RCM services desk, ensure you are completing tickets coming in that are assigned to you, 50 ticket if applicable.
  • Completing special AR projects (not limited to refund and complaint logs) in a timely manner, when assigned.
  • When applicable mail out reconsiderations and/or appeals.
  • Clear discrepancies in various bank reconciliations and refunding the account if necessary.
  • Provide backup documentation of refund checks or refund receipts as requested by patient.
  • Demonstrates competency in the performance of jobrelated skills appropriate to his/her customer populations and departmental services while providing excellent customer service.
  • Utilizes and operates equipment and mechanical devices which provide for a functional, effective, and safe environment.
  • Adheres to policies, procedures, guidelines relative to departmental operations.
  • Working internal chats if assigned.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a drive to exceed expectations.
  • Solid work ethic; ability to research, analyze data, and demonstrate effective problem solving.
  • Sense of urgency regarding quality of work, results oriented.
  • Selfmotivated and able to work with mínimal supervision in a team environment.
  • High degree of professionalism and comfort working with internal and external customers.
  • Problemsolving, critical thinking skills with the ability to research and analyze data.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


Education:


  • HS Diploma or one year of workrelated experience.
  • Certificate of billing or one year of workrelated experience. (preferred)
  • Associate degree or equivalent from twoyear college (highly preferred)

Experience:


  • Familiar with PC and Microsoft Office software such as: Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Familiar with Imagine EMR system (preferred)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This position may require duties including lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds, sitting for prolonged periods of time, with frequent standing and walking.


DRESS ATTIRE:
Business Casual or scrubs dependent on department
