Position Summary
The role of the Assistant Controller will be assisting the Financial Controller to oversight of the accounting/finance department including financial reporting (internal management/board reporting and regulatory reporting, i.e. Call Report, FRY Reporting), liquidity and interest rate risk monitoring.
Responsibilities:
Assist in directing, coordinating, maintaining, and controlling an accounting/financial system that properly reflects the financial position of the Mission National Bank and MNB Holdings Corporation (Holding Company).
Assist in monitoring Department policies and procedures and recommends improvements, serve as a primary resource in all aspects of accounting/finance, including corporate insurance policies.
To monitor and maintain general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, prepaid expenses, fixed asset management, etc. To assist in automation projects and development of processes to improve efficiencies.- Assumes responsibility for the effective preparation, maintenance, and reporting of internal and external financial records and analyses
- Assumes responsibility for overseeing daily operations and performing administrative functions for the Accounting department.
- Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective communication and coordination with Company personnel, departments, and management.
- Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective business relations with vendors, outside auditors and regulators, and professional trade groups.
- Associate's or higher degree in business or accounting.
- Three or more years of supervisory experience.
- Strong technical accounting background, GL accounting knowledge, and use of MS Office.
- Thorough knowledge of financial and accounting practices and procedures.
- Understanding of governmental regulations and reporting requirements.
- Understanding of related auditing and IT functions.
- Strong oral and written communication abilities.
- Able to organize, coordinate, and direct projects.

$85, $100,000.00 per year
