Description
**Job Description**
The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for supporting the Unit Controller in various financial operations and reporting while also supporting the management team in various tasks. This will include general office and accounting functions: accounts payable, reporting, operating statements, day-to-day data collection, completing basic accounting reports, and miscellaneous office work.
Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by Aramark location based on client requirements and business needs.
**Job Responsibilities**
+ Assists management with finance tasks in relation to accounting including filing, data entry, record review and maintenance, etc.
+ Analyzes and coordinates various office operations and procedures such as typing, accounts payable, filing paperwork, supply orders, and other clerical services.
+ Formulates procedures for detailed retention, protection, retrieval, transfer, and disposal of records.
+ Assists in coordination activities of various clerical work within multiple departments.
+ Aids unit management on the preparation of organizational invoices and monthly financial and other accounting responsibilities.
+ Operate technology, systems, and software such as voicemail systems, copy/scanners, personal computers, and MS Office.
+ Responsible for performing administrative functions including distributing mail, ordering, and stocking supplies, answering phones, and greeting visitors.
+ Provide back-up support for cash management functions.
+ Other duties and ad hoc reporting as needed.

**Qualifications**
+ At minimum, an Associate's degree in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Finance, or similar field. Bachelor's degree preferred. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience can be substituted.
+ Ability to work independently on assigned duties.

+ Excellent written/interpersonal communication and organizational skills. Proficient in Excel and Word.
+ Proficient to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

+ Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
+ Ability to work independently on assigned duties.
+ Demonstrates an ability to manage a variety of priorities while meeting deadlines.
