- Vendor Management:
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to promote collaboration and effective communication.
- Oversee vendor accountability and implement enhancement strategies when necessary.
- Collaborate with the Quality Manager to ensure vendors meet defined quality expectations and adhere to supplier quality agreements and AQLs.
- Work with vendors to streamline processes, reduce lead times, and improve overall supply chain efficiency.
- New Product Introduction:
- Collaborate with Product development to align Calyx standards and processes with new product launches.
- Integrate new products into existing operations for a seamless order-to-delivery process.
- Prepare contracts for new vendors to uphold established standards.
- Sourcing:
- Identify and assess potential suppliers in line with the company's product requirements in conjunction with the Quality department.
- Conduct market research to stay updated on global sourcing trends, pricing, and supplier capabilities.
- Negotiate favorable terms and agreements with suppliers to optimize costs while ensuring product quality.
- Additional Aspects of Supply Chain:
- Coordinate with logistics partners to guarantee timely and cost-effective goods transportation.
- Create and monitor purchase orders.
- Implement strategies to minimize transportation costs and reduce supply chain disruptions.
- Identify risks in the supply chain and develop contingency plans to mitigate them.
- Work with leadership to address regulatory challenges and ensure compliance with global standards.
- Set and achieve quarterly and annual objectives for the department.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in sourcing and vendor management, preferably in a managerial capacity.
- Thorough knowledge of trade regulations, customs procedures, and logistics.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Analytical mindset with strong statistical and problem-solving abilities. Lean Six Sigma certification is a bonus.
- Familiarity with NetSuite ERP system and supply chain management software.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to build relationships with vendors, both internally and externally.
- Keen attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities.
- Proficiency in Advanced Excel and statistical analytical software systems.
- Capability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
- On-site presence in West Valley City required five days a week.
