    **Location:** South San Francisco, California

    **Reporting Relationship:** Reports to the Senior Director, Finance, Procurement and Strategic Sourcing

    **The Opportunity****:**

    The Senior Buyer will coordinate, and lead activities involved with purchasing and planning of goods, services and commodities; Own Travel Category; Manage day to day Procurement Operations, provide support on Coupa and lead Procurement related technologies; Provide sourcing and category management related support where required.

    **Professional Responsibilities:**

    Looking for a Buyer who can balance between and has interest in Sourcing, Category Management and Procurement Operations

    Sourcing and Category Management:

    + Partners with customers to help them identify suppliers who can meet their needs and leads vendor selection

    + Travel Owns travel category, partners with Travel Agency on record to analyze spend, identifies opportunities and partners with Head of Procurement/Finance and CFO to implement

    + Identifies Vendor Management best practices and trains the organization

    Procurement Operations: Manages day-to-day procurement operations related activities

    + Vendor Master

    Own Vendor Master, its management and integrity

    + KPIs

    Analyzes P2P value chain established KPIs on agreed upon schedule, analyzes opportunities to improve and partners cross-functionally to implement

    + Contracted Spend:

    Reviews partially executed contract and creates purchase requisition.

    + Goods:

    Review purchase requisitions and P2P output for appropriate information and approvals.

    Confer with suppliers to obtain product or service information such as price, availability and delivery schedules.

    Direct and coordinate the timely issue of suppliers Open Order, Past Due Orders, Supplier Requirements and other reports.

    Interface directly with staff and suppliers to resolve order status, discrepancies, past due items and schedule/date changes.

    Resolve invoice discrepancies with suppliers and Accounts Payable.

    Coordinate defective and returned materials with suppliers, Quality Assurance and others to determine root cause, initiate and follow-up on corrective actions.

    + Budget

    Ensure purchases are within budget according to Current Operating Plan.

    + Compliance

    Provide SOX Support

    Ensure purchase is compliant with company policy and no material weakness identified

    + SP Projects

    Provide support related to Coupa training and implementation

    **Education/Experience:**

    Bachelors Degree from a four-year college or university is highly preferred, and 5-8 years of experience in a Buyer or Senior Buyer role.

    **Professional Requirements:**

    Three to five years of experience in a life sciences environment preferred.

    Coupa procurement experience a plus.

    **Working Conditions/Requirements:**

    This role requires the employee to work hybrid. Please note that CytomX has initiated a vaccination policy on October 31, 2021, which requires staff whose job responsibilities must be conducted onsite to be fully vaccinated, unless they are subject to legally required exemptions.
