    Job Title: Accounts Payable Clerk
    Job Location: Norfolk, VA
    Reports To
    : Accounts Payable Manager
    FLSA Status: Exempt

    This is a FULL-TIME position

    Hobbs & Associates is seeking to bring to our team a full time Accounting Clerk. The Accounting Clerk will join our Shared Services team and will bring to the team three to five years of experience in Accounts Receivable and/or Accounts Payable.

    Responsibilities:

    · Provide Accounting and clerical support to the Accounting Department

    · Matches invoices, purchase orders and receivers prior to payment distribution. Matches invoices to checks prior to signing.

    · Performs data entry for accounts payable, vendor correspondences and expense reports.

    · Monitors general email inbox account, vendor correspondences.

    · Sorts and distributes mail

    Qualified Candidates will have the following skills:

    · A minimum of 2 years of accounting experience required.

    · Proven accounting experience preferably as an Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable Clerk.

    · Accuracy and Attention to detail

    · Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks.

    · Well Organized

    · Courteous and professional manner.

    · High proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook

    · Familiarity with basic accounting procedures

    · The ability to manage several competing work priorities in a timely manner.

    · FACTS Accounting Software experience a plus

    Environmental Requirements

    Will be required to work in an office environment and contribute to the team around you.

    Physical Demands

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to operate computer keyboard and telephone, reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
