    LAB Quantitative Strategies, LLC (LQS) is a research-driven, risk-focused quantitative asset manager with approximately $1.7 billion in Assets Under Management, based in Denver, CO. We utilize the scientific approach to investing, develop and practice strong leadership through a principle-based management, and attract and retain employees who seek excellence and lifelong learning.

    LAB is looking for an ambitious Software Engineer. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic, technology-driven investment firm that provides a challenging and collaborative work environment.As a Software Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work closely with the rest of the firm, designing, developing, and maintaining our software systems, building various programmatic tools, and exploring investment ideas directly with the investment team.

    Role Responsibilities

    • Partner with our Research and Trading teams to Design, develop, test, and deploy programmatic solutions for quantitative investment strategies in futures, ETFs, and OTC Derivatives.
    • Source, collect and analyze data to help improve the investment process.
    • Create automation and collaborate with engineering team on visualization tools.
    • Develop, manage, and continuously improve technology infrastructure with a focus.
    • Database design and extract-transform-load (ETL) processes.
    • Contribute to driving the firms data platform vision.
    • Contribute to the development of the technology infrastructure.
    • Work directly with investment and engineering staff to clean, modify, and ensure data and code correctness.

    What You Offer

    • A bachelors degree (advanced degree a plus) in computer science, electrical or computer engineering, math, physics, or relevant work experience.
    • 2+ years of experience in software development.
    • Proficient experience with Python, and SQL. Knowledge of other popular programming languages is a plus.
    • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
    • Experience in security best practices for software and data platforms.
    • Experience with version control, CI/CD pipelines.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Ability to multitask, problem solve, and to take ownership.
    • Strong work ethic and Initiative with a positive attitude.
    • High integrity, personal responsibility, and ownership over work.

    Base compensation range for the position $88,000-$128,000.
