    Description
    Principal Geotechnical Engineer (Denver, CO)


    Responsibilities :
    Develop and maintain internal and external client relationships, including project and non-project related face-to-face meetings

    Able to bring in existing client relationships as well as identify and pursue additional business development opportunities

    Leadership of a technical or project related team

    Prepare proposals for moderate to complex geotechnical and construction materials testing projects

    Develop and execute project scope

    Prepare complex engineering reports giving professional opinions and practical geotechnical solutions

    Perform engineering analysis using company and industry methodologies and standards

    Provide work direction and train junior engineering staff

    Required Experience :
    Bachelor's degree (BS) in geotechnical, civil, or related engineering program required

    Six or more years of experience performing work as a geotechnical engineer

    Five or more years of Colorado specific engineering experience

    Project management and managing client relationships

    Lead and provide work directions to junior engineers

    Must have a valid driver's license

    Professional Engineer registration/licensure (or ability to obtain within 3 months)

    Ability to lift up to 30 pounds on a periodic basis

    Ability to work 45 – 60 hours per week as necessary in accordance with job/services provided to customers


    Preferred Experience :
    Eight or more years of experience performing work as a geotechnical engineer

    Direct CMT Experience either through performance or management (ability to manage or cross-sell)

    Leadership experience or capability

    Supervision experience or capability

    Existing client relationships in industry

    Industry Association involvement
