    Description

    Summary:
    A legal benefit plan company based in Jacksonville, FL is looking to fill a full-time Legal Authorization Specialist role.

    This position supports the Provider Relations department in meeting the department goals for authorizations, credentialing, project support, customer service, and collaborating with department personnel, attorneys and clients as needed.


    Responsibilities:
    Answering attorney calls/e-mails and provide superior service and education about the organization's fee schedule, products, policies and proceduresPrioritize and compile information necessary to complete attorney requestsVerify member benefits/coveragesInform attorney of the specific fee schedule reimbursement and monitor for accuracyWork with members and departments to promote an understanding of the authorization processCoordinate resolution of escalated attorney and member issuesMeet or exceed turnaround time while maintaining workloadDaily management of Authorization dashboardAdhere to policies and procedures to comply with department's performance and compliance standards, and ensure cost-effective delivery of services

    • Identify and recommend process improvement opportunities within the departmentPerform other duties and/or projects as assigned by department managerRequirements:Prefer 2+ years of legal and/or law firm experienceAttention to detail and demonstrated effective negotiation skillsAbility to review and interpret legal claim documentsAbility to assist Provider Relations' leadership team and department staffDemonstrate a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Products – Outlook, Excel, WordIND701
