    Description

    Below are the main responsibilities for the position:

    • Sanitizing serving areas, furniture, food storage units, and kitchenware
    • Running dishwashers and cleaning trays, dishes, utensils, and other serving tools
    • Supporting in the setup of food preparation stations
    • Heating, preparing, vending, and serving meals to students and faculty
    • Cleaning and storing kitchen appliances
    • Assisting in tasks like making sandwiches, mixing salads, grating cheese, and cutting fruits and vegetables
    • May handle cash transactions, including reconciling receipts and maintaining basic records
    Requirements:
    • Knowledge of standard food preparation methods for large quantities
    • Familiarity with common food service appliances and tools
    • Ability in basic arithmetic and simple record-keeping
    Skills:
    • Proficiency in operating various food service machinery
    • Accurate handling of cash and change
    • Quick and efficient work ethic
    • Capacity to follow oral and written instructions
    • Building and maintaining positive work relationships
    • Adaptability to new equipment and technology required for the role
    Experience and Education:
    • Prior experience in food service is advantageous
    • Completion of twelfth grade or equivalent
