Technical personnel report to the area Supervisor and have the authority and responsibility for performing maintenance, preventive maintenance and alteration tasks as directed and assigned in accordance with the applicable maintenance data and IAR-TS RSM_QCMDuties and responsibilities
- Carry out assigned tasks, in accordance with the applicable maintenance manual and IAR-TS RSM-QCM.
- Ensure maintenance operations are performed in the appropriate sequence (as determined by the applicable maintenance data), that inspections are requested in an orderly and timely manner, and that maintenance activities are performed according to the appropriate maintenance data and customer requirements.
- Perform tasks in the time assigned by the Lead
- Perform Maintenance, troubleshooting and modifications on the following systems:
- Engine, propeller and associated control systems
- Pressurization and Air Conditioning systems
- Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems
- Flight Control systems and rigging procedures
- Landing gear and associated components
- APU, ATM and GTC
- Cargo systems
- RIDSS System
- Fuel and Aux Fuel Systems
- Interior and Auxiliary Systems
- Any other aircraft type installed systems
- Interrupt Pilot write ups
- May perform In-Process Inspections
- Use manufactures, customers and FAA data, drawings and diagrams to perform assigned tasks
- Identify parts and material required to accomplish tasks assigned
- Ability to identify Alternate P/N's and PRE/Post Mod P/N's
- Use calibrated tooling and test equipment to perform assigned tasks
- Advise and interact with customer concerning Non-Routine technical questions
- Evaluate rotables for potential repairs
- Be able to travel to support maintenance activities away from home base
- Request stock as required for the work being performed
- Report potential airworthy discrepancies to Production control, QA Supervisor or DOM
- Train general technicians on maintenance techniques as required
- Be available for overtime or for "oncall" or weekend duty as required
- Perform all other duties as assigned by the System Technician-Lead or the DOM
Qualifications
Five (5) years as a technician working on C-130 or Transport Category aircraft in an MRO, Military Depot Level repair facility or an airline.
Other qualifications:
- Microsoft Outlook and MS Word
- Familiar with use of manufacturers technical data
- Be familiar with US Air Force TO's
- Use of test equipment and measuring equipment
Working conditions
Work in a hangar environment, on airport -amps in all types of weather conditions.
Physical requirements
Be able to lift 50 pounds, work from man-lifts and aircraft stands. Stand for long periods of time.

Experience:

License/Certification:
