About the role:


  • Boston Scientific Endoscopy is looking for a storyteller that is passionate about advancing care for patients through our partnerships with physicians globally. The Specialist III, Social Media is responsible for defining and executing a coordinated social media strategy that supports the business and marketing objectives of the division. The Specialist III, Social Media is highly visible and works in close collaboration with teams across functions, and geographies. In addition to meeting the experience requirements outlined below, this individual must have a proactive, cando attitude and a highly collaborative communication style and must demonstrate an ability to influence peers, colleagues and senior stakeholders who participate in the contribution and review process. The position reports to the Group Marketing Manager, Sales Experience, DMCxp (Digital Marketing & Customer Experience).

Your responsibilities will include:


  • Create, manage and measure a global endoscopy social program for Boston Scientific that aligns with broader business objectives, Boston Scientific brand, Global Digital Marketing Campaigns and social requirements.
  • Develop a robust divisional editorial calendar for Endoscopy's various audiences and channels (existing and new) to support key clinical topics and product launches with clear measurement and optimization plans.
  • Monitor Endoscopy related conversations in social and develop/optimize social communication plans to position Boston Scientific Endoscopy as a thought leader in the space.
  • Assess competitors' social presence on an ongoing basis.
  • Develop and execute a paid social strategy to compliment organic social efforts.
  • Write, edit and obtain Legal, Regulatory and Clinical approval, and post content to Endoscopy social channels.
  • Collaborate with Digital Marketing & Communications while providing leadership and direction to copywriters, designers and videographers to develop interactive content across social channels including video, photography, infographics and more.
  • Share appropriate and approved content and manage inappropriate or offlabel references on social.
  • Deliver monthly and quarterly reports with recommendations, optimizations and next steps.
  • Support other critical endoscopy social media programs as assigned.
  • In all actions, demonstrate a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures.

Required qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications or other relevant field
  • Deep understanding of all social platforms including best practices for content development and distribution in each channel (Twitter, YouTube and LinkedIn are critical)
  • Superior social media writing skills
  • Ability to connect the dots to create social media strategies and a compelling social media narrative
  • 13 years of experience:
  • Managing a social/communications program for a global professional healthcare audience
  • Managing a social community in the highly regulated medical device, biotech or pharmaceutical space
  • Operating within a branded environment and complying with global brand standards
  • Developing, executing and measuring social media strategies
  • Leveraging social management and listening tools, such as Social Studio and Radian
  • Collaborating across a matrix organization
