Description

The Material Handler will be responsible for facilitating the orderly production and distribution of products by unloading trailers, sorting product, managing inventory, pulling orders, delivering materials to work centers, and preparing finished products for shipment.

• Manually handle, load and unload goods from vehicles. This includes lifting and carrying boxes and other items from the delivery truck to the warehouse sorting area.
• Stack and organize items/cartons according to instructions, and check for any damages or shortages.
• Pull orders from inventory and deliver production products and materials where needed.
• Stage finished products for final distribution.
• Locate products and materials by pulling and verifying against production orders.
• Maintain inprocess inventory at work centers by delivering and opening products and materials.
• Document products and materials, recording units delivered and their respective locations.
• Prepare finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing products.
• Document product shipments by recording units shipped.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to move items or signal equipment operators to relocate products and materials as needed.
• Keep inventory areas, loading areas, and machinery clean and organized.
• Open containers and cartons, sort, and catalog materials as necessary according to purchase orders or picking instructions.
• Engage in crossdepartment training and collaborate with colleagues to ensure optimum performance.
• Perform any other duties required to support business operations and facilities maintenance as assigned by Management, whether occasionally or permanently.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role is preferred but not required.
• Valid forklift operator's license or the ability to obtain one.
• Physical strength and endurance to lift and move heavy materials, up to 50 lbs.
• Detailoriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and recordkeeping.

• The Material Handler position requires the ability to lift and move heavy materials (up to 50 lbs.), operate equipment, and perform physical tasks in a warehouse environment.
