We are currently seeking a (Senior) Sourcing Specialist (M/F/d) for our largest European production site in Wesseling near Cologne, Germany.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sourcing strategies for raw materials in line with our global strategy.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

Conduct the sourcing process for segments and/or commodities with increasing complexity and high value
Proactively drive initiatives to meet sourcing objectives for assigned segments or commodities
Collaborate with suppliers to identify productivity opportunities and deliver value to the business
Support Category Managers in complex sourcing initiatives through data analysis and change management
Ensure ethical and financial compliance standards are met
Maximize revenue and control costs by responding to audits and surveys
Work closely with Buyers to implement strategic sourcing initiatives
Identify and qualify new suppliers as needed

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (Master's degree preferred)
Several years of experience in the chemical or related industry, with knowledge of purchasing and materials management
Previous experience in businessrelated positions
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a global team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Proficiency in MS Office, SAP, and ARIBA
