With the exception of those hired with the temporary/seasonal designation, all team members are employed under the Variable Hours designation. Actual hours worked will be averaged after the first year of consecutive employment in position to determine each member's FT or PT status going forward.

ROLE PURPOSE


The Dishwasher/Steward at RISING TIDE tap & table is a key contributor to the guest experience - personifying our brand promise.

To provide Guests and Team Members with clean and sanitized utensils, plate ware, glassware and equipment. To partner with the Kitchen team to ensure constant, smooth, and clean operations.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Constantly provide Guests and Team Members with a ready and available supply of clean and sanitized utensils, plate ware, glassware and equipment according to HDI standards.
  • Maintain daily cleanliness and maintenance of dish machine and primary on troubleshooting any machine malfunctions.
  • Clean and sanitize service area and kitchen throughout shift with specific duties such as BOH line and dish area sweeps
  • Complete assigned projects in any given shift such as prep work and beautification duties.
  • Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and takes prompt corrective action where necessary or suggests alternative courses of action which may be taken.
  • Maintains an engaged and constructive working relationship with all other company Team Members to foster and promote a cooperative and trusting working climate conducive to maximum Team Member morale, productivity, efficiency and effectiveness.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to perform multiple tasks, while maintaining required standards of operation, in daily activities.
  • Must also be able to perform duties that ensure Guest satisfaction.
  • Must follow handling and sanitation procedures and use extreme caution with utensils, plate ware, glassware and equipment to avoid breakage.
  • Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 70 lbs.

  • Must be able to frequently bend and stoop
  • Must be able to work frequently in a hot and damp environment
  • Must be able to speak clearly to communicate orders to other cooks and expediter
  • Must be able to hear Team Member requests in the midst of loud background noise
  • Must be able to stack, walk and move during entire shift
  • Must be able to frequently immerse hands in water
  • Must be able to use hands 99% of the time
