    Responsibilities


    Manage all Hospital(s) OR Supply Chain Team members – supply chain analysts, cycle counters and coverage for required team tasks during employee paid time off / absenteeism.

    Recruit, develop and foster a world-class supply chain team.

    Identify, implement and maintain lean / continuous improvement initiatives, with an unrelenting commitment to improving the value of the products and services provided by the supply chain team.

    Intelligently leverage technology as an enabler for improvements.
    Ensure best practice, standardized processes are documented and followed. Collaborate with other Michigan Medicine hospitals for shared learning and system wide optimization.

    Ensure the integrity of information in the various systems utilized by the supply chain team is correct, and optimally configured to accomplish the supply chain objectives.

    Configure optimum OR inventory plans and execution – locations, racking, labeling, flow, PAR levels, management, ...
    Develop, monitor and achieve supply chain goals / key performance indicators.
    Manages supply chain product flows from procurement, through distribution, to support clinical requirements.
    Establish relationships with, and maintain effective communication with clinicians and leadership teams.

    Interface with all supply chain areas - Contracts and Procurement, Transactional Purchasing, Vendor and Product Safety and Recall – to support the overall Michigan Medicine Supply Chain Objectives.

    Participate in health system wide initiatives when appropriate.

    OR Supply Chain Analysts, Cycle Counters and /or Stock Keepers

    Supervision Received:
    UMHS OR Supply Chain Manager
    Required Qualifications

    Bachelor Degree in supply chain, business, health care or related field of study.
    Minimum of 3 years of supply chain experience, with at least 1 year managing a supply chain team.
    Strong leadership competencies - interpersonal and communication skills
    Demonstrated competency in leveraging technology / business analytics as an enabler of improvement.

    Ability to handle multiple responsibilities, prioritize daily activities, meet strict deadlines, problem solve, make independent decisions and work well with all levels of the team.

    Demonstrated success developing, monitoring and achieving supply chain goals.
    Demonstrated lean / continuous improvement experience.
    Desired Qualifications

    Masters Degree in Supply Chain, Business or other applicablefield of study.
    Demonstrated knowledge of Supply Chain Processes in a healthcare setting.
    5+ years of Supply Chain experience, with 3+ years managing a Supply Chain team.
    Working knowledge of PeopleSoft for inventory management.
