For our client, one of the most well-known automotive manufacturers, we are currently looking for an experienced purchaser (m/f/d) in La Grange, IL.

Your responsibilities:

Purchasing responsibility for media lines in the drive area from the concept phase to the end of life as a spare part
Participation in crossfunctional teams in the early phase
Operational negotiation management using cost structure analysis methods
Preparation and execution of tenders (tendering, negotiations, procurement process, coordination and management of process partners)
Supplier management and development (including capacity assurance, contract management)
Planning and ordering process for series and spare parts
Ensuring supply security and resolving capacity issues
Coordination and management of commercial targets together with project purchasing and controlling

Your qualifications:

Degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering/electronics, manufacturing technology, business administration or a comparable qualification
Extensive professional experience in purchasing or development
Very good knowledge of project management
Team and communication skills
Confident appearance
Assertiveness
Fluent in German and English
Proficient in MS Office
