SUMMARY


The Legal Paralegal plays a pivotal role in our legal team, contributing to the contractual and operational aspects of our business.

This position requires a legal professional with experience in a law firm working as a paralegal.

This role requires supporting multiple lawyers in their specialty areas with a focus on employment litigation and commercial transactions while acting as a general member of the Legal Operations group.

ESSENTIAL DUITES AND RESPONSIBILITIES and other duties as required.

  • Under legal supervision, review and approve redlined standard NDAs, escalating unusual clauses and redlines to the relevant attorney;
  • Under legal supervision, review and approve indirect procurement Order Forms and SOWs to verify no material changes made to the associated Master Services Agreement and escalating to the relevant attorney as needed and appropriate;
  • Coordinate and manage relationship for employment matters with outside counsel;
  • Compile and manage reports on employment matters for the insurers;
  • Manage EEOC charges and assist with compiling responses;
  • Manage the process for subpoena requests and suggest and implement improvements as appropriate;
  • Manage the task load for the legal employment group, develop and improve processes and system developments, including the intake process.
  • Coordinate with the Legal Operations group on improving the overall Legal & Compliance processes and provide general legal administrative support as required to Legal & Compliance;
  • Collaborate on and lead other projectbased work within the scope of the legal department responsibilities on an asneeded basis; and
  • Assist in any other ad hoc projects as assigned by the Senior Director, Commercial or Legal Operations Lead.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and/or Experience

  • 4+ years' legal experience of substantive experience as a paralegal in a law firm setting, strongly preferred.
  • 4 year degree in processdriven work or paralegal certificate; paralegal certificate in addition to the 4 year degree preferred.
  • Experience reviewing NDAs, SOWs and OFs, preferred.
  • Experience in collaborating with crossfunctional departments.
