Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the functions of challenging behaviors exhibited by students.
  • Design individualized behavior intervention plans tailored to each student's needs and goals.
  • Utilize evidencebased behavioral strategies, including Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques, to address challenging behaviors and promote skill development.
  • Collect and analyze data on student behavior to monitor progress, make datadriven decisions, and modify interventions as needed.
  • Collaborate with teachers, school staff, administrators, and parents to implement behavior intervention plans effectively and ensure consistency across settings.
  • Provide training and ongoing support to school personnel on behavior management techniques, ABA principles, and strategies for supporting students with behavioral challenges.
  • Monitor student progress, prepare progress reports, and communicate with stakeholders regarding student outcomes and intervention effectiveness.
  • Participate in IEP/Manifestation/Other schoolrelated meetings to contribute expertise on behavior goals, progress, and interventions for students with special needs.
  • Adhere to ethical guidelines and legal requirements governing the practice of behavior analysis in educational settings, including compliance with relevant laws such as IDEA and FERPA.

Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of behavioral assessment and intervention strategies, including ABA principles.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including students, families, and school staff.
  • Understanding of relevant laws and regulations governing special education and behavior analysis services in schools.
  • Knowledge of assistive technology and augmentative communication systems.
  • Experience using data collection software and behavior tracking systems.
  • Training or certification in crisis intervention and behavior management techniques.

Education and Experience:

  • Master's degree or higher in behavior analysis, psychology, special education, or a related field.
  • Board Certification as a Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Licensed Behavior Specialist (PA).
  • Experience conducting functional behavior assessments (FBA) and developing behavior intervention plans (BIP).
  • Experience using data collection software and behavior tracking systems.
  • Training or certification in crisis intervention and behavior management techniques.
  • Experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities in a school setting.
  • Experience working within a multidisciplinary team in an educational or clinical setting.

Physical & Other Requirements:

  • The employee may be required to sit or stand for long periods of time.
  • The employee may need to manage and respond to challenging behavior from students (e.g., aggression, selfinjury, elopement, tantrum, property destruction).
  • The employee will need to travel between school buildings.
  • Valid Driver's License, proof of registration and insurance.
  • CPR certification (when required).
  • Have current (or be able to clear) required state and federal background checks and relevant clearances.
  • Additional certifications may be required by the PA accreditation body and/or school.
  • This position is remote/on the road. Must be willing to travel anywhere in the Greater Philadelphia area.
