Position SummaryWe are looking for an experienced Financial Controller, with proficient Cost Accounting experience, to undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures. Finance Controller responsibilities will also include completing routine clerical and accounting tasks with basic bookkeeping and accounting duties for the company.

This role will help develop, interpret, track, and implement financial concepts across cost accounting and FP&A. This includes performing technical analysis to determine present and future financial performance. Owning day
- to-day management and oversight of our site manufacturing metrics. We are looking for a dedicated, cost accountant minded, individual to help drive forward process improvements and analytics in our Finance Team.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Financial Owner of the manufacturing site who will be responsible for clear and concise financial results, partnering with the site director for accurate metrics and presentations out to leadership
  • Leads a team supporting cost accounting analytics, forecasting, budgeting, and monthly reviews of KPI's and metrics
  • Develops team members on accounting skills, reporting capabilities and career development
  • Supports monthly KPI report outs to executive level leaders including highlighting focus areas for their business partners and opportunities for improvement
  • Drives process improvements and cross functional projects within the company
  • Helps provide actionable intelligence to leaders for improvements and project recommendations
  • Owns cost accounting activities including scrap reconciliations, standard costing process, manufacturing variances, routing creations, deep dives and reviews
  • Oversee and manage AR/AP functions
  • Overseeing Payroll and updating payroll ledgers
  • Oversee month end and year end process
  • Managing company ledgers
  • Coordinating internal and external audits
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings

Functional Description:


  • Manages the development, implementation and/or maintenance of one or more accounting systems: Journal entries, General Ledger, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable, Revenue Reconciliation, Cash Flows, etc. in accordance with GAAP policies and procedures. Designs operational procedures and processes that meet audit standards and improve efficiency. Ensures integration of data produced into systems and supports objectives of financial analysts. Ensures the accurate compilation, analysis and reporting of accounting data and revenue. Participates in annual audits and special projects. May work with external consultants or auditors to provide required information and ensure proper recordkeeping for historical purposes. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

Required Qualifications:


  • Experience of 7+ years in Cost Accounting support
  • Proficient in SAGE 100 and SAGE intact
  • Technical ability to work with large data sets from multiple systems and make good business judgment when necessary
  • Good communication skills and comfortable working with Globally based employees at differing levels
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with attention to detail
  • Deep understanding of general accounting principles & essential financial reporting for P&L and balance sheet (accruals, prepaids, capital expenditures)
  • Strong work ethic with a collaborative attitude and confident written and verbal communicator
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines while delivering consistent, accurate and reliable work

Pay:
$110, $125,000.00 per year
