- Manage all aspects of tax compliance, including the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns for the company.
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and optimize the companys tax position.
- Conduct research on tax issues and regulations to ensure compliance and identify tax-saving opportunities.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information and ensure accurate reporting of financial data for tax purposes.
- Review and analyze financial statements to assess tax implications and ensure accuracy in tax reporting.
- Stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations that may impact the company and provide guidance on potential implications.
- Assist with tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities, including preparing responses and supporting documentation as needed.
- Provide guidance and support to finance and accounting teams on tax-related matters, including providing training as necessary.
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in tax compliance and planning, preferably in a manufacturing or services industry.
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively communicate complex tax concepts to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
