The Founders Academy is a public charter middle-high school in Manchester, NH.

It is dedicated to educating ethical citizens and leaders, who are knowledgeable about our history and dedicated to preserving our liberty.

The Founders Academy is seeking a Financial Business Manager with an anticipated start date of
May 27, 2024.

The Business Manager is responsible for all financial functions of the school to support the Dean of School and other staff.

This includes budgeting, accounting, human resources, and contract management.

The Business Manager generates all the school's financial reports, assists in the annual budgeting, day to day cash flow management, and audit processes, ensuring that the school meets all state compliance requirements in these areas.


Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management or related field.
  • Preferred: Master's Degree
  • Experience with QuickBooks, Excel and G Suite for Education apps
  • Experience with education/governmental accounting.
  • Experience with the financial management, oversight, and monitoring complex budgets and contracts
  • Fiscal experience including accounting, budget development and monitoring, fund accounting, and auditing
  • Successfully complete a background check

Salary Range:
$55,000-$60,000


Schedule:
This position is a year round position. During the school year, the hours are 7:20-3:20.

This position has the same school vacations and holidays that the rest of the school staff have throughout the academic year.

During the summer months, this position requires 15 hours per week with a two week vacation while the building is closed.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • The Business Manager works alongside and in collaboration with the Board of Trustees and Dean of School to provide:
  • Coordinate all financial transactions, including revenue activities, expenditures, record keeping,
- reporting, auditing, etc.

  • Prepare and manage annual budget and cash flow projects
  • Manage all accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll processes
  • Responsible for procurement of supplies, materials, and equipment
  • Provide regular financial reports to the Dean of School and Board of Trustees
  • Assure timely completion of the annual audit
  • Develop and implement internal financial procedures and controls
  • Attends board and budgetary/finance related meetings as needed
  • Oversee benefits administration
  • Maintain personnel records, with full confidentiality as appropriate and required by law
  • Onboarding new staff members

Pay:
$55, $60,000.00 per year
