DESCRIPTION OF WORK:


  • Your responsibilities will include carrying out a wide range of clerical tasks to support staff in delivering highquality services to Pennsylvania residents. You will be perform various clerical and officerelated tasks, adhering to office protocols and utilizing appropriate systems. Additionally, you will communicate with the public in a polite and professional manner, whether in person or over the phone. Basic computer skills will be essential for tasks such as data entry, customer service, scanning, filing, answering calls, and managing mail. Your job duties are carried out under the general supervision of a Clerical Supervisor.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:


  • Fulltime employment
  • The Department of Human Services provides excellent benefits, contractual pay increases, paid holidays and leave entitlements, opportunity for advancement and shift selection in addition to a great work environment.
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday
  • Friday, with a 60minute lunch
  • This position requires travel and overtime as needed.
  • Assigned duties are performed in a controlled office environment. In counties with District Offices, employees may be reassigned to different work sites due to operational needs. Reassignments will be made in compliance with contract language.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY:


QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:


  • Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title);
    or:
  • Graduation from high school;
    or:
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:


  • You must pass a background investigation.
