Data Management Functions
- Maintain data accuracy and completeness for information on products, brands, suppliers, categories, sales, and customers within and outside of the product database.
- Prepare the daily system export from the system file and archive all previous exports in all drive locations.
- Respond to all routine point of sale requests from other departments.
- Create department product and pricing reports and product order guides weekly and as requested from operations departments.
- Process sales reports and provide accurate, reconciled fiscal period summaries as needed.
- Run product, velocity, and sales reports from point of sale software and transform the data into easy to digestible formats for operations and admin departments.
- Run reports and maintain accurate data on brands, suppliers, and product attributes for trend and product tracking.
- Verify data and information on reports, purchase orders, and invoices monthly, quarterly, and as requested by Category and Point of Sale Manager, Merchandizing Director, and operations departments.
- Run other reports and data management functions as needed by the Category & POS Manager or as requested by other organizational divisions.
Point of Sale Duties
- Create new item records for all new products, suppliers, and brands carried by the organization.
- Assign new PLUs for new Non-UPC items using appropriate reference ranges and communicate those to appropriate departments.
- Set up new Type2 UPC code items in back office as needed and program service scale software with the corresponding operator PLUs.
- Consolidate all promotions submissions checking for accuracy and completeness before processing within the database, producing promotional signage, and communicating promotional information to appropriate departments as needed.
- Produce store signage twice daily and as requested by other departments.
- Retrieve and process product changes from all incoming vendor product change reports.
- Prepare cost change spreadsheets for importing into point of sale software on appropriate cost change date. Prepare and distribute updated signage and price change spreadsheets for departments.
- Retrieve and process discontinued product or packsize changes from UNFI and other vendors and update products accordingly in the database.
- Audit product data accuracy and engage in best practices when maintaining product data to ensure smooth and accurate perpetual inventory operations.
- Maintain product attributes, images, and information accurately for ecommerce needs.
- Train as needed for all POS functions including promotional programs program.
- Report technical problems to the Category & POS Manager and IT divisions as needed.
- Document internal data procedures as may be needed.
Other Duties
- Maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
- Assist in inventory counts, preparation, and processing as needed.
- Provide prompt and accurate administrative assistance to the department.
- Maintain department files, records, and electronic databases.
- Participate in special projects and staff training as assigned.
- Ensure product data is processed thoroughly and accurately.
- Maintain and produce accurate signage.
- Attend meetings and events as requested.
- Demonstrate support for the cooperative values and principles daily.
- Compile information and contributes to reports as needed.
- Perform other duties and work in other departments as assigned.

Language Ability
- Comprehend complex instructions, correspondence and memos.

Math Ability
- Add and subtract two digit numbers and be able to calculate percentages.
- Perform these operations using units of U.S. currency and weight measurement, volume and distance.
- Calculate and understand unit cost, retail prices, gross margins, proportions, and percentages.
- Convert between units of measurement.
Reasoning Ability
- Deal with simple or complex problems in a variety of simple or complex situations and circumstances.
Computer Skills
- Intermediate or better proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Accurate typing ability of 30 words per minute.
