- Designs and develops hardware design solutions consistent with specifications and requirements.
- Reviews system requirements and extracts hardware functionality.
- Performs component selection.
- Generates and executes design verification test plans; coordinates with quality assurance team to identify problems and create solutions.
- Investigates and thoroughly understands new technologies.
- Participates in design and product reviews.
- Modifies existing designs to meet new market needs as required.
- Coordinates manufacturing and procurement efforts.
- Assists in transition from engineering to manufacturing.
- Supports user training and education.
- Prepares technical and progress reports on assigned projects.
- Collaborates with project directors, technical writers, product managers, quality assurance engineers and other technical team members to develop new products.
- Travel required as part of on-site engineering activities
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
- Minimum bachelor's degree (B.S.) in related field or equivalent.
- Four to six years related experience or equivalent.
- Cybersecurity experience required
- CISSP certification preferred
