Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care assistance to individuals in a compassionate and respectful manner.
• Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Support individuals in managing their behavior and emotions through effective behavior management techniques.
• Lift and transfer individuals using proper lifting techniques and assistive devices.
• Collaborate with nurses, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the wellbeing of individuals.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for individuals, including light housekeeping duties.
• Respect and uphold the rights of residents, ensuring their privacy and dignity at all times.
• Drive individuals to appointments or outings as required.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a personal care assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
• Knowledge and ability to respond to emergencies effectively.
• Ability to lift heavy objects or individuals with proper lifting techniques.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with individuals, their families, and healthcare professionals.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining confidentiality of personal health information.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
