    JOB OVERVIEW:

    AM LLC seeks a Java Developer to support a client in the field of Veterans Affairs. The ideal candidate should possess the ability to analyze customer requirements and formulate design concepts. Proficiency in Java software development, bug fixing, and error correction is a prerequisite.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Participate in Agile development with Java applications, Web Services (REST), and reusable components
    • Perform detailed design, identify reusable components, configure, build, and test app and/or tech arch components
    • Fix defects identified during testing and integrate all application requirements

    REQUIRED SKILLS:

    • Apply design and development skills across multiple technology domains
    • Ensure consistent quality solution delivery
    • Thorough understanding of Agile methodology
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Proficiency in regression testing
    • Strong problem-solving abilities
    • Critical and analytical thinking skills

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • US citizenship or Green Card holder necessary for federal security clearance
    • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field required
    • Minimum 5 years of Java development experience

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Active PIV card from the Department of Veterans Affairs
    • Experience with architecture design using common patterns
    • Knowledge of DevSecOps environments and tools like Jenkins and Ansible
    • Proficiency in performance testing and tuning

    TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Must have a dedicated workspace for Home Office work
    • High-speed internet connection

    PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Ability to handle prolonged computer usage
    • Ability to work in a stationary position for extended periods
    • Virtual and in-person meeting participation

    The salary for this position ranges from $95,000 to $102,000. Please note that actual salaries may vary based on factors such as education, experience, and location.
