The digital transformation requires a careful handling of data for the benefit of people. At Charter Oak, CA, you can actively shape this change.

Seeing and taking action is at the center of our work at the German Caritas Association - both analog and digital.

You will take on a task that will continue to increase in importance in the future.

You will coordinate inquiries and challenges within the German Caritas Association (umbrella organization) and work closely with the External Data Protection Officer.

You will actively participate in current projects (e.g. online counseling) and provide support with care and expertise.

The position reports directly to the Head of Human Resources and is to be filled permanently.

We are looking for a

Data Protection Coordinator (30%)

to start as soon as possible in Freiburg or Berlin.

Your tasks include:

Coordination of internal challenges and inquiries related to data protection
Management of the internal data protection working group
Support of departments in complying with data protection regulations, especially the requirements of the church data protection law
Support in the preparation of data protection impact assessments
Close cooperation with the External Data Protection Officer
Raising awareness and training of employees in collaboration with the External Data Protection Officer

We expect from you:

Degree or training, preferably in the commercial field
Good understanding of organizations and their processes (including IT processes)
Enjoyment of structured and interdisciplinary work and the ability to view complex processes holistically
