    We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Full Stack to join our Engineering team and assist in modernizing Second Life's web properties.

    This is an independent contributor role, reporting to the Senior Manager, Engineering (Web). You will contribute by writing sustainable, tested code that enhances the Second Life resident experience.

    Our team is working to modernize all the Second Life web properties as well as adding exciting new functionality.

    You will have the opportunity to impact nearly every aspect of the Second Life user experience; from selling things on the virtual goods marketplace, to finding things to do, to purchasing virtual homes, and even contributing to our mobile viewer.

    And all of our efforts support our diverse and passionate Second Life user community.
    Modern frontend services; Maintenance of existing systems by improving stability, performance, responsiveness, and testability
    Collaborative environment with multiple teams, including product and QA, to ship ambitious new functionality
    At Linden, we celebrate all the dimensions of diversity, including diversity of experience. 5+ years of software engineering experience; 3+ years as a Full-Stack Engineer with mobile web technologies
    ~ A Bachelor's degree in a technical field and or equivalent academic training and experience
    ~ Ability to work independently and collaboratively on/with remote teams.
    ~ Expertise in a modern JavaScript framework such as React or Angular and UI/UX development
    ~ Experience with UNIX/Linux, Python and Git
    ~ Exposure across the web stack: HTML, CSS, Javascript, Web frameworks both client and server, scripting languages, SQL databases, microservices, and RESTful APIs
    ~ Ability to easily pick up new applications and work across more than one programming language
    ~ A testing mindset

    Depending on your work location, the annual salary for this position can have a varied range + RSU equity incentive plan + generous benefits program, including comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).

    Actual target base pay within this range is dependent on many factors, including experience, competencies, skills, internal equity, and calibration of market data.
