Great customer service experience is a MUST

    Weekly Schedule:

    Monday & Tuesday: 5:00 AM - 1:00 PM

    Wednesday - Friday: 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM

    Job Summary and Qualifications

    We are seeking a Medical Business Office Specialist who contributes to the company's mission, vision, and values by handling various business office functions. You will be responsible for billing, cash posting, chart preparation, collections, insurance verification, medical records, patient registration and scheduling.

    What you will do:

    • You will handle various business office duties to include: billing, chart preparation, cash posting, collections, insurance verification, medical records, patient registration and scheduling
    • Be responsible for accurately performing all functions of your patient admissions
    • Perform and document insurance pre-certification, verification and interviews for your patients prior to surgery
    • You will identify coding or billing problems from EOBs and works to correct errors in a timely manner
    • You will prepare accounts for rebilling
    • You will file secondary insurance and send to the designated carrier with proper documentation
    • Schedule your patient surgical procedures and maintain the surgery schedule

    Qualifications you will need:

    • Minimum 2 years of experience in a medical office setting, preferably an ambulatory setting
    • Valid BCLS Certification upon employment, online certification not acceptable

    Ambulatory Surgery Division is a growth-oriented business sector of HCA Healthcare. 140+ surgery centers across 16 states with 3,200 physician partners. We perform outpatient surgery cases in our single and multispecialty centers across HCA Healthcare. We are in more than 13 divisions.     Surgery Center at Coral Springs serves the residents of Broward County and surrounding areas. We offer
    many different procedures and over 500 cases a month. We use the Catalys laser for our
    ophthalmology procedures. Our other specialties are endoscopy, GYN, orthopedic, ENT,
    podiatry, plastics, and urology. We will be starting a cardiac service line. Our AAAHC
    accredited center is located in beautiful Coral Spring. We are near excellent schools,
    overabundance of parks and close to airports and beaches. We are a member of Surgery Ventures powered by HCA Healthcare.
