LABORATORY TECHNICIAN
- JOB PURPOSE_: This position is responsible for weighing and manufacturing batches of cosmetic ingredients according to formula recipes and operating procedures of manufacturing equipment. Weighing and charging materials to reactors and treatment vessels.
- DUTIES &
RESPONSIBILITIES:
_
- Accurately weigh ingredients following specific formulas and operating procedures
- Learn and implement Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in daily work continuously
- Clean and sanitize all necessary manufacturing equipment
- Careful disassemble and reassembly of equipment
- Proper detail to documenting all actions with ingredients and formulas according to Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
- Monitor and maintain equipment by adjusting controls, cleaning startup and shutdown
- Conduct laboratory tests and record results, such as pH, temperature, particle analysis, etc
- Timely reporting of any discrepancies
- Follow quality service standards, complying with procedures, rules and regulations
- Perform other duties, as assigned.
- WORKING CONDITIONS: _Clean climate controlled laboratory
- MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: _
Entry level position - PREFERRED EXPERIENCE_: 1 year
- EDUCATION REQUIRED: _High School Diploma or equivalent
- REQUIRED SKILLS: _
- Lifting 50+ pounds 1540% of the time, frequently rolling and maneuvering heavy drums filled with cosmetic batches
- Wearing required PPE to include company provided uniform of steeltoe shoes, safety glasses and noise preventing headphones.
Proficient in English language,:

Proficient skills in basic math and counting,:
- Good attendance a must, ability to handle multiple tasks, and communicate well with coworkers
- PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: _Stand, walk, or be mobile up to an 8 hour shift.
Pay:
Up to $17.00 per hour
Expected hours:
No less than 40 per week
