KHS reasonably expects to pay starting compensation for the full time position of Health Services Business Analyst, in the range of $ $47.48 hourly.

General Purpose

This position is responsible for gathering, documenting and validating requirements across the Health Services business unit.

It will work with a wide variety of stakeholders and work under the supervision of more experienced analysts and managers.

It requires individuals with some initial experience or understanding of business analysis principles and techniques.

This position will also work with other departments and coworkers to obtain data for reports and perform basic data analysis on the data before presenting back to requesting departments.

General

Foundational

  • This position must have a basic to intermediate understanding of healthcare data and related analytical tools (Business Objects, Excel, SQL.)
  • Educational or hands on experience in data analysis methodologies and techniques.
  • Intermediate experience in using presentation software such as Microsoft Power Point and Microsoft Visio.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) skills including initial education or experience creating charts, pivot tables, formulas, and calculations in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent written communication skills to document requirements in a coherent and understandable way.
Analysis

  • Requirement Gathering: Collaborating with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements and functional specifications for new or existing systems or processes.
  • Process Analysis: Identifying and evaluating existing business processes, workflows, and systems to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Documentation: Creating detailed business requirements documents, use cases, process flows, and other relevant documentation to communicate requirements to development teams.
  • Including ability to complete and make use of predefined document templates.
  • Ability to understand and construct "current state" and "future state" process flows representing a business process crossing multiple stakeholders using industry standard notation.
  • Stakeholder Management: Engaging with stakeholders to ensure their needs are understood, managing expectations, and facilitating effective communication between business and technical teams.
  • Solution Evaluation: Assessing proposed solutions or system changes to determine their feasibility, impact, and alignment with business goals and requirements.

Collaborating with teams to develop test plans and scenarios and ensuring that delivered solutions meet the specified requirements and quality standards.

Architecture

  • Ability to create and output presentation and publication ready artifacts using data and information gathered my team architect.
  • Understanding of basic business fundamentals and functions
Employment Standards

Bachelor's degree in economics, Business Management, clinical, or other applicable concentration from an accredited college or university.

Experience working within the medical field, specifically the Managed Medicaid industry is a plus.
