The Development & Investment Analyst is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and executing hotel real estate development and investment opportunities.

The D&I Analyst is responsible for the investment cycle of each deal, from sourcing to financial underwriting, preparing investment memoranda, seeking investment committee approvals, and monitoring the deals throughout the development or conversion process up until opening.

The D&I Analyst will enter and manage the data that goes into the investment proposition and vet the information before incorporating it into each investment underwriting.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Supports THG leadership and shareholders with investment and real estate market analysis and reporting.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential hotel development and investment opportunities.
  • Perform financial analysis, including cash flow modeling, ROI calculations, and risk assessment, to evaluate the feasibility and profitability of projects.
  • Assist in the due diligence process, including property inspections, financial document review, and market assessments.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners, such as developers, operators, and lenders, to structure and negotiate deals.
  • Prepare investment memos, presentations, and other materials for internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Monitor and track industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to inform investment decisions and strategy.
  • A bachelor's degree with emphasis in hotel real estate, business administration, or related field.
  • 2+ years of work experience in real estate development, investment, or finance, with a focus on the hospitality sector highly preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google.
  • Strong financial modeling skills required.
  • Excellent quantitative, analytical, and problemsolving skills.
  • Strong organizational, visualization, communication, and analytical skills to convey complex concepts to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to create, articulate and effectively present information.
  • Must listen actively and attentively, capturing accurately and completely relevant and valuable information
  • Able to track and support concurrent real estate projects at different stages and utilize a project management strategy regularly.
  • Passionate about real estate investing, with preference for hospitality industry exposure.
  • Ability to provide general direction/be selfmanaged/work independently.
  • Willingness to work hard in a transaction‐oriented environment and to take ownership of project outcomes.
  • Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable, and courteous service to internal and external clients.
  • Ability to keep information and internal communications confidential.
  • Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Travel may be required.
