The Accounts Receivable and Billing Manager role at Mac Papers and Packaging is part of a team of highly motivated, customer-oriented individuals seeking to deliver exceptional experiences to our customers and drive performance of the organization.

Essential Position Functions:


  • Serve as a team leader and coach for the national Mac Papers and Packaging Accounts Receivable and Billing departments while collaborating with crossfunctional teams from the business including finance, procurement, sales, and customer service.
  • Provide and perform mentoring and training for members of the Accounts Receivable and Billing teams.
  • Manage the global invoicing cycle to ensure the high volume of customer invoicing and ensure all receivables are promptly processes and accounted prior to monthend close.
  • Maintain a log and research discrepancies associated with manual billings and work with crossfunctional teams to perform remediation analysis and drive continuous improvement efforts across the function and the business.
  • Setup, manage, and troubleshoot multiple customer portals and points of invoicing origination/submission.
  • Participate in the financial statement close process by accurately preparing journal entries, reconciliation, or other analysis as requested and required by the Controller.
  • Utilize critical thinking skills to solve departmental, crossfunctional, and crosscycle order to cash process issues.
  • Create and maintain an ongoing enablement program to ensure members of the AR/Billing team are consistently working toward process improvement and working under leading practices.
  • Gather documentation for audit requests.
  • Generate monthly and quarterly reports.
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience:


  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • BS in accounting, finance or related business discipline preferred.
  • Minimum of 5+ years billing/invoice experience.
  • 2+ years of team/people leadership preferred.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Proven attention to detail.
  • Experience using ERP accounting platforms.
  • Working knowledge of accounting standards.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Must have intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) skills.
  • Must be able to efficiently use a Windowsbased computer.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete assignments accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Able to effectively handle multiple priorities with a strong attention to detail in a fastpaced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, oral and written communications skills.
  • Must be able to read and communicate in English, for safe and effective performance of the job and business operations.
  • Must be able to work alone, and with a team.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
