Position Type: 12 month, 1 FTE


Reporting to the Director of Enrollment and Outreach, the Associate Director of Admission is responsible for the lead generation and cultivation of prospective students and families in grades 7-12.

As the lead counselor and ambassador for these grades, this position requires strong personal outreach and relationship-building skills, as well as a command of Key's curriculum and programmatic offerings.

The Associate Director of Admission is detail-oriented, adaptable, thrives in a team-first environment and can
seamlessly pivot between job responsibilities.


Responsibilities:


  • Timely followup with leads, inquiries and applicants
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with "sending schools"
  • Leveraging the CRM functionality of Finalsite Enroll to optimize outreach and engagement
  • Representing Key at school fairs and outreach events
  • Assist with the planning and execution of admission events as needed
  • Conducting tours and mentoring the Gold Key Student Ambassadors
  • Counseling families at every point in the admission process, from initial contact to enrollment
  • Scheduling student shadow days in grades 7 and
  • Coordinating Admission Committee meetings grades grades 71
  • Maintaining a thorough knowledge of Middle and Upper School curricula and programs
  • Coordinating the math and language placement testing for new 712 grade students each spring
  • Inclusive and Equitable: Ability to authentically communicate and partner with a diverse population of students and families to ensure the admission and enrollment processes are inclusive, accessible and unbiased.
  • Discretion/Judgment: Commitment to exercise confidentiality and discretion in all matters, including admission, enrollment and financial aid.
  • Team Player: Building relationships and partnering with committees, the Middle and Upper School Division Heads, parent ambassadors and admission colleagues are essential in this role.
  • Flexible/Resilient: Responding to new challenges and emergent needs with a growth mindset and solutionoriented approach.
  • Understands and supports Key's Mission and approach to teaching and learning, and demonstrates the capacity to be an effective ambassador of Key School.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree; Master's degree preferred
  • Experience as an admission counselor, faculty member and/or administrator in independent schools
  • Proven track record of supporting a missiondriven organization while meeting the needs of, and catering to, prospective students/families/clients.
