DCG Communications is currently seeking a Project Manager (PMP certified) to join our team onsite at the Pentagon, providing direct communications support to the U.S.

Army Office of the Chief of Public Affairs (OCPA).

In this senior role, you will lead a dynamic team comprised of three firms, collaborating closely with our DoD client to proficiently manage the following core responsibilities:


  • Communication Planning
  • Communication Execution and Products
  • Communication Research
  • Communication Evaluation and Assessment

Our trusted client, with whom we have cultivated a longstanding partnership over the years relies on our team to consistently deliver high quality products such as point papers, executive summaries, social media content, position papers, written communication, design products, meeting minutes/reports, overview briefings, including objectives, strategy, analysis, evaluation, recommendations, scheduling information, risks, structure and contacts to key internal and external audiences

Additional responsibilities the team is tasked with include but are not limited to:

  • Project Management/reporting
  • Internal communications/change management
  • Marketing plans
  • Media relations + 24 hour weekend media monitoring
  • Thought leadership


As a vital member of DCG's management team, you'll lead the OCPA staff, ensuring the quality of their work while fostering their professional growth through coaching, mentoring, and active participation in mid-year and annual performance evaluations.

Additionally, the Project Manager may contribute to business development initiatives, including proposal writing and editing, as well as strategic planning.


Location:

The team works at the Pentagon client site with the ability to telework up to two days a week.

For the remaining business days, team members must arrive by 0900 except in extenuating circumstances.


What's a good fit?

  • Hold a minimum of fifteen (15) years of professional experience, with at least five (5) years spent operating at the strategic level, demonstrating proficiency in highlevel decisionmaking and leadership responsibilities;
  • Demonstrated excellence in both writing and project management, coupled with a keen enthusiasm for thriving in dynamic work environments;
  • Proficient in effectively mentoring, managing, and training junior staff members to foster their professional growth and development;
  • Proven ability to lead and direct large federal programs including overseeing delivery, client management, directing all communication, managing deliverable schedules, contract oversight and more;
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, adept at clearly articulating client recommendations and their underlying rationales;
  • Active PMP certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior active-duty military service with a focus in public affairs
