PowerSecure is currently seeking a Senior Contract Analyst to join our team.
This position will be responsible for supporting organizational compliance with processes and procedures associated with contract administration for distributed energy solutions, energy efficiency, and power control monitoring sales and development projects.
Minimum Qualifications:
(Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills):Education: Bachelor's degree required - JD/ paralegal experience preferredExperience: Familiarity with various types of transactional documents required (e.g., Purchase and SaleAgreement, LLC Operating Agreement, Engineering, Procurement and Construction Agreement)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
A minimum of 7-10 years of relevant experience in contract administration and identification of contract obligations.
Ability to analyze legal contract terms and identify risksExperience in implementation of legal requirements desiredHighly skilled at managing multiple assignments with minimal direction in time-sensitive environmentDemonstrated ability to lead a team/project management skillsDemonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with peers, management, executives, legal, counterparts within Southern CompanyExcellent oral and written communication skills, including influencing skills - Experience interfacing with/knowledge of the corporate compliance structureExperience using and working with SalesforceHandle confidential and sensitive information appropriatelyStrong computer skills; particularly excel - Familiarity with Industrial and Financial Systems (IFS), Salesforce, SharePoint and desired
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include working with PowerSecure employees to identify, track and validate/interpret performance management of contract obligations of material contracts associated with a project.
Issuing communications regarding complying with contract administration processes and procedures; Accountable for managing compliance with policies and procedures throughout the project lifecycleIdentify and analyze legal obligations in material contracts and agreements per project - Build obligation matrices for each material contract per projectPerform contract validation with document owners through independent reviews and reconciliation of obligationsManage inputs, administration, and monitoringProvide risk management and monitoring of obligations under project contractsMonitor compliance with process and procedures and perform self-assessments to ensure the organization complies with new contract governance program and can demonstrate 'evidence of compliance' of obligationsActively manages corrective actions and preventive actionsConduct periodic reviews of program elements for effectiveness and improvementsPrepare management reports and dashboards using and Excel DocuSignAssist in the preparation and reporting for governance committee meetingsAssist with organizing, storing and maintaining project contracts in IFS as well as Salesforce Liaises with internal auditingProvide training on overall process, use of technology, policies and procedures to functional groups and governance committeeParticipate in the ongoing development of the contract governance program to ensure contract transition processes fully mitigates risks through clarity, accountability, and GovernanceServe as source of expertise in contract areas to address questions from functional teamsPhysical Demands and Work Environment:
