    Job: Technician / Pattern Shop Lead

    Division: Weir ESCO

    Location: Newton, Mississippi

    This job is an Onsite Position

    Purpose of Role: Leads and coaches pattern makers to ensure quality repairs/ builds meet safety and functionality standards to meet Design Intent and also performing Methods Technician job responsibilities in Conjunction with this role.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Drive 6S and safety improvements through teamwork
    • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with other department leadership
    • Test and validate new tools for safety and quality performance
    • Coordinate with production planning for opportunities to repair tooling
    • Review new tooling with Tooling Engineers before build and release to production
    • Interpret Engineering drawings and turn into actions and results to meet specifications for modification of tools, repair of tools, and/or building tools in house.
    • Collaborate with Tech Team for quality improvement opportunities related to tooling
    • Coordinate and run scheduled trials and drive Root Cause Analysis actions for quality related issue with Parts or Process.

    Education:
    • High school diploma/GED, 2+ years as a pattern maker plus 1+ year of leadership experience ideal
    • Good reading, writing, mathematical, interpreting mechanical drawings, and good communication skills.
    • Adequate skills with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Teams
