    Description

    Position Title: Mechanical Engineer

    Overview: As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and supporting mechanical development initiatives. Your daily tasks will involve analyzing initial mechanical samples, creating and updating 2D and 3D CAD drawings, and aiding the engineering and quality teams in data analysis and issue resolution. This position demands a solid grasp of manufacturing and engineering processes and active participation in daily support activities.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate closely with the manufacturing team to address mechanical assembly, testing, and compliance challenges.
    • Develop and interpret mechanical Bill-of-Material (BOM) structures.
    • Incorporate feedback to implement improvements in quality, end-user experience, and market competitiveness.
    • Support the design and architecture of digital communications systems for various equipment types.
    • Provide design feedback to the hardware team based on manufacturing and performance requirements.
    • Create detailed drawings and documentation packages, conduct tolerance studies, and maintain drawing revisions for product releases.
    • Execute assigned tasks from the Supervisor.

    Requirements:

    Knowledge & Skills:

    • Proficient in parametric design software (Preferably ProE/Creo).
    • Strong computer skills, with expertise in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
    • Conduct inspections of initial article samples based on inspection drawings.
    • Collect, analyze, and interpret data for effective problems solving.
    • Operate measurement equipment and machine shop tools for calibration.
    • Familiarity with 3D printing technology.
    • Sound understanding of parametric design principles.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
    • Strong analytical and organizational capabilities.
    • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
    • Capacity to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
    • Maintain confidentiality and time management skills.

    Qualifications:

    • Education: Mechanical Engineering Degree.
    • Knowledge of basic engineering principles, materials, fabrication techniques, components, and development tools.
    • Familiarity with CAD modeling concepts and terminology.

    Working Conditions & Physical Demands:

    • Work environment includes office-based tasks such as sitting, walking, lifting, and using office equipment.
    • Must be capable of lifting up to 10 pounds and using metal working machines and hand tools.
    • Travel between office floors and buildings may be necessary.
    • Exposure to environmental factors like noise, vibration, and chemicals.


    Compensation: $60,000.00 to $85,000.00 per annum
