Overview:


The incumbent in this position is responsible for managing the service, repair, and overall maintenance of the Hard Rock helicopter and helicopter engines to verify aircraft are safe for flight while ensuring compliance to all Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) maintenance regulations and requirements.

Performs advanced troubleshooting and ensures projects are completed on time and within budget.

The incumbent acts as advisor to aircraft maintenance team regarding projects, tasks, and operations while supervising the work of aircraft maintenance staff and mechanic.

This position reports to the Director - Aviation Maintenance and is an exempt position.


Responsibilities:

  • Ability to maintain aircraft records in compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations.
  • Knowledge of theory, operation and integration of aircraft systems.
  • Thorough knowledge of aircraft structures, power plants, systems, equipment, mechanical parts, etc.
  • Knowledge of inspections and maintenance activities.
  • Knowledge of Quality Control and Safety procedures.
  • Demonstrates skills in the use of tools of the trade, test equipment, test stands, balancing equipment, etc.
  • Performs the required inspections and maintenance of the Hard Rock Aviation Department's aircraft. Examines and inspects aircraft components, including landing gear, and hydraulic systems to locate cracks, breaks, leaks, or other problems. Inspects airframes for wear or other defects. Measure parts for wear, using precision instruments.
  • Conducts line service operations, performs maintenance on ground support equipment, test stands.
  • Performs field maintenance services. Travels nationally or internationally to other locations to support maintenance operations, including coordinate parts procurement, delivery, and installation or to recover aircraft.
  • Manages and coordinates inspections and or repairs with local repair stations.
  • Supervises the work performed by vendor repair staff.
  • Demonstrates skills in systems troubleshooting.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of six (6) years of experience working in aviation maintenance with prior supervisory experience is required.
  • An equivalent combination of education/ relevant training and experience will be considered. Five (5) years of experience operating under Part 135 air carrier is preferred.
  • Possession of a valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license is required.
  • Possession of a valid Inspection Authorization (IA) rating license is preferred.
  • Completion of Factory schools for Leonardo AW109SP the is desirable.
  • Must have experience in dealing with Federal, State, County, and local government agencies and officials. Possession of a valid Driver's License is required.
  • Demonstrate excellent analytical and organizational skills, outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and be an effective team player. Demonstrate proficiency in computer software.
  • Demonstrate ability to function effectively in a fastpaced, dynamic, and stressful environment.
  • Demonstrate outstanding decisionmaking and problemsolving skills, and ability to handle multiple projects is required.
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to travel extensively and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays is a requirement of this position.

Work Environment:


  • Work is performed in hangar areas, outdoors, in parked aircraft, and sometimes in hazardous noise areas and around running aircraft. May be exposed to extreme heat, cold and inclement weather. Must be able to work in confined spaces and in awkward positions, at times on scaffolds at heights above thirty feet. Exposed to hazardous chemicals and lubricants.
