Under the direction of the Shipping Supervisor, the Shipping Coordinator plans, executes, and prioritizes the scheduling of the final acceptance forms for shipments and through-put.

The Shipping Coordinators activities involve in helping others with blueprint reading/interpretation, marking methods, and contacting quality personnel for assistance with quality/technical matters.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties and responsibilities include the following; other duties may be required and assigned at any time.

  • Print and check all final acceptance forms for daily preps.
  • Conduct training in blueprint reading and part marking.
  • Coordinates with inside shipping to achieve the daily and monthly ship plan.
  • Reviews all final acceptance forms and attaches part marking photos.
  • Prioritizes work to ensure FMI's shipping commitment dates are met.
  • Maintaining steady workflow throughout the departments work hours.
  • Updates Inside Shipping on failures and rejects.
  • Maintains accurate inventory counts of finished goods
  • Organizes and maintains the finished goods inventory area
  • Understands and follows established work instructions to ensure procedures are followed consistently to achieve the requirements of FMI's AS9100 quality system.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE


High School education or GED and a minimum of six months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


LANGUAGE SKILLS
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions. Ability to communicate effectively with Vendors. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence in English. Must have strong interpersonal skills.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Basic arithmetic.


REASONING ABILITY

COMPUTER SKILLS:


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Prior experience working in an ISO9001/AS9100 aerospace environment is recommended.
