Material Handler - Niles, United States - MicroLink Devices, Inc.

Description

MicroLink Devices is currently hiring a material handler/fab associate to assist in its production operations.

This is an entry-level, day shift position that requires the ability to understand both written and verbal instructions, to maintain an organize workspace, to perform manual labor tasks consistent with the role, and to handle hazardous chemicals and materials safely.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Receive, inventory, store, ship and dispose of all materials and waste associated with the company's production operation.
• Upkeep of the fabrication department facilities
• Repair of minor facility defects
• Assist with equipment installation
• General housekeeping and other duties related to the care and upkeep of the company's manufacturing spaces

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Basic computer skills (MS Windows, Excel, Word)
• Ability to effectively communicate.
• Ability to work with hand and power tools.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 40lbs.
• Job offer will be contingent upon completing a successful limited background investigation.
• Must be eligible to work in the US, no sponsorship provided for this position.

Experience and knowledge in the areas is desired

• 4 years or more of experience in a manufacturing environment, warehouse, or trade.
• General knowledge of manufacturing, warehousing, or preventative maintenance.
• General knowledge of safety procedures
• Experience with light building maintenance and repair
• General knowledge of housekeeping duties
