Role Overview:

Manage financial operations for the Boise Trucking group within PCA.
Supervise team members and oversee trucking functions.
Support various accounting tasks such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and more.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and maintain accurate financial records.

Duties and Responsibilities

Handle requests for tax support, reporting, and ad hoc tasks from corporate and division managers.
Collaborate with Trucking Operations management and other teams to address accounting-related issues.
Provide support to internal and external customers, resolving queries and improving processes.
Prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and guide team members in these tasks.
Manage employee performance, provide training, and ensure smooth accounting operations.
Act as backup for accounts payable/accounts receivable and controller when necessary.

Education/Experience

Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
5+ years of experience in corporate accounting.
Knowledge of GAAP, SOX accounting standards, and ERP systems.
Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills.
Proficiency in Excel and other analysis tools.

Scope

Handle a variety of tasks across different platforms and systems.
Prioritize and schedule activities efficiently.
Interact with internal and external stakeholders as needed.
Address customer requests and concerns promptly and professionally.

Travel Requirements

Initial 50% travel to Boise for the learning phase (36 months), decreasing to 10%-25% thereafter.
