- Perform comprehensive eye exams to assess visual acuity and overall eye health.
- Diagnose and assist in the treatment of ocular diseases, such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration.
- Prescribe corrective lenses, including glasses and contact lenses, based on individual patient needs.
- Provide pre- and post-operative care to surgical patients, collaborating closely with ophthalmologists as needed.
- Counsel and educate patients on maintaining healthy vision, including proper eye care practices and lifestyle adjustments.
- Maintain detailed patient records, documenting diagnosis, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately and efficiently.
- Respond promptly and effectively to eye care emergencies, ensuring patient safety and well-being at all times.
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry school.
- Valid state optometry license and DEA registration.
- Proven experience in performing comprehensive eye exams and diagnosing ocular diseases.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and colleagues.
- Detail-oriented approach to patient care and record-keeping.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and collaborative work environment.
