Job Summary:


  • The parttime/temporary Arts + Technology Support position will assist with the coordination of the RE: ALIZE program, working with and supporting student participants, Teaching Artists, and administrative staff in their use of technology platforms, software, and devices. This is a parttime/temporary position that will be compensated for time worked on an hourly basis. The work schedule for this role will consist of an estimated 25 hours per week for an anticipated period of 1 school year beginning in July 2024 and finishing in May 2025, with the possibility of extension, per program need. During the school year, program days will include Monday
  • Friday of each week. Due to the parttime/temporary nature of this work, this is not a benefiteligible position.

This role will report to the RE:
ALIZE Program Manager.


The part-time/temporary Arts + Technology Support position will be held accountable for the following responsibilities:

  • Assist with the coordination of RE:ALIZE-owned technology devices and equipment:
- o Lead device upkeep and inventory, including a maintenance schedule, warranty services, software licenses, and supply inventory.
- o Oversee device distribution, user training, and collection, ensuring all devices are prepared and ready for students and Teaching Artists each day of the program.
- o Provide day-to-day support for RE: ALIZE operations, special events, and showcases, and assist with the resolution of technology issues for RE:ALIZE staff and student participants

  • Maintain and activate the RE:ALIZE Digital Lab, including:
  • Provide training and ongoing support to Teaching Artists on how to leverage technology within their studios
- o Ensure the digital lab remains open and available to students during program hours in support of students in learning how technology tools can support their artistic practice

  • Identify, document, troubleshoot, and resolve technology problems; contact appropriate personnel/resources to assist with resolving complex issues when necessary
  • Serve as a workshop facilitator for students as needed in the event ofTeaching Artist absences
  • Liaise with building security, Wells Staff/Faculty, and community members, as well as RE:ALIZE volunteers and guests (ex: guest speakers, master class hosts, visiting college staff, etc.)
  • Other duties as assigned

In order to be successful and achieve the above responsibilities, the part-time/temporary Arts + Technology Support position must possess the following qualifications:


Education Required:


  • Bachelor's degree in arts, education, technology, or a related field from an accredited college or university is required
  • Master's degree or active enrollment in a graduate program in arts and technology, or other related field of study, preferred

Experience Required:


  • Minimum of three (3) years of work experience with arts and technology integration, including the following, is required:
  • One (1) year of experience troubleshooting in Mac OS and Windows OS environments, working with inventory management systems and equipment such as microphones, soundboards, digital cameras, lighting equipment, and video is preferred
- o Experience working with software and technology equipment such as MacOS, iPadOS, Chromebooks, G Suite for Education, and arts software such as Adobe Creative Cloud, GarageBand, Soundtrap, and iMovie
- o Experience working with students in an educational setting
- o Experience troubleshooting general technical issues, and/or providing technical support/guidance in the use of technology

  • Experience as a working artist, strongly preferred
  • Experience working in education
